Keema (Minced Mutton) <br />4 tbsp. Ghee <br />2 Bay leaves <br />12 pods of garlic, crushed <br />1” piece of Ginger, crushed <br />250 gms. Yoghurt <br />5 medium onions, finely chopped <br />4 medium tomatoes, finely chopped <br />1½ tbsp. Chilli powder <br />2 tsp. Coriander seed powder <br />Salt to taste <br />½ cup fresh coriander finely chopped <br />For Garam Masala, grind 5 green cardamoms, 15 cloves, 1” cinnamon, 15 black peppercorns and a small piece of nutmeg. <br /> <br /> <br />Method:- <br />1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add the bay leaves and the mutton and fry for 5 minutes on a high flame. Add the minced mutton and fry further for 5 minutes. <br />2. Add the crushed ginger nad garlic and sauté for a minute and then add the onions and fry for 5 minutes. <br />3. Then add the powdered garam masala and fry for 3-4 minutes. <br />4. Add the tomatoes and fry for another 5 minutes. <br />5. Now add the chilli powder and the coriander seed powder and fry again for another 5 minutes till the tomatoes are soft. <br />6. Add the whipped yoghurt and sauté further for 10 minutes. <br />7. Add water, salt and pressure cook until 3-4 whistles are blown. <br />8. Garnish it with coriander and serve.
